[00:00:00] Imagine this. Every day, you sit down and write for 10 minutes. Just 10 minutes consistently. Without fail. In those 10 minutes. You could churn out around 300 to 400 words. If you kept this routine daily. Within a year's time. You'd have written between 109,000 and 146,000 words. Depending on the length and topic of your book that could equate to three separate books.
[00:00:39] Now, granted. Not all those words. Are going to be perfect. The structure might not be right. It may not even be on the same subject. It may not flow. But that's not the point. The point is you were consistent.
[00:00:56] I'm Zach Kristensen, and this is [00:01:00] Beyond the book presented by Juxta book.
[00:01:02]
[00:01:10] Consistency is key. Every day you did something. No matter how small or insignificant it seemed you were consistent and that's, what's going to help you produce as an author. That's, what's going to help you find the story, find the voice and find what you want to share.
[00:01:30] Now sure 10 minutes might not seem like much and those 400 words are going to be imperfect. They will need fine tuning. But day in and day out, you're going to be creating something that materializes into your book and reaches your goal.
[00:01:49] At juxta book, we teach about three habits for successful authors and one of those is consistency. That, not just a consistency in writing, but in anything you [00:02:00] aim to achieve for as an author, Being consistent is what will get you to your destination. It's what's going to help you. Build your author brand. If you're setting a goal to be consistent every day, with engaging with your readers on social media, through email, whatever it may be.
[00:02:19] You're going to get that touch point, make that progress no matter how small it is, and you're going to keep it growing and growing. Now it may not grow as quickly as you'd like. And.
[00:02:32] Building while you're trying to do and find your path as an author. Isn't going to be a straight line, just because you're consistent. But what you discover by being consistent is what's going to build that for you.
[00:02:46] And as you start being consistent the way to go, may not always be clear, but the more you act and remain consistent, the more your path will unfold. You will get better. And by doing something [00:03:00] every day, you're likely going to improve on it by at least 1%. And over that year's time as well that's a 37 fold improvement.
[00:03:11] So don't underestimate the power of doing something small every day. It can make a massive difference in your life and will help you reach your goals.
[00:03:22] So your action item today is to decide what is it that you're going to do every day Or every week that's going to be consistent to get you further on your path as an author I
